Profession Overview
I am an accomplished Senior Technology Leader with over 20 years of proven expertise in architecting, developing, and delivering enterprise-scale applications across retail and industrial technology domains. My core focus has been on building AI-driven, cloud-native, data-centric automation frameworks that drive scalability, security, and business agility using modern architectures on GCP ecosystems.
In my current role with Macy's Systems & Technology as Technology Manager for Data Engineering and Architecture, I lead the design and execution of enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives — including AI-based automation of Data Engineering Pipelines, a Data Insights AI driver for customer behaviour and predictions, predictive inventory management, and AI-driven predictive observability to improve operational efficiency across all major business domains.
I have built proprietary cloud-native ingestion frameworks (MAXIS and KARIBA) on GCP processing millions of events daily across Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Digital, and Supply Chain. I have also deployed multi-agent agentic AI frameworks that autonomously generate, review, and validate enterprise upgrade code, significantly reducing modernization effort and operational costs.
Prior to Macy's, I led supply chain visibility engineering at The Home Depot — delivering GPS-based real-time freight tracking systems used during natural disaster emergencies, and building the Advance Pipeline Visibility platform that gave call centres instant access to product location across the entire supply chain.
Beyond my industry work, I actively serve the global technology community as a Technical Program Committee member for international IEEE and Springer conferences, a peer reviewer of 80+ research papers, and a judge for prestigious industry awards and university innovation events. As a Senior Member of IEEE, I am committed to advancing trustworthy, human-centric AI and intelligent data systems that benefit organizations and society at large.
Academic & Research Interests
I hold a Master of Engineering in Electronics Engineering from Anna University (2006). My graduate research laid the foundation for a career at the intersection of intelligent systems, distributed computing, and applied data science.
My current research interests focus on the challenges of deploying AI at enterprise scale — specifically generative AI for synthetic data generation, event-driven streaming architectures for low-latency analytics, and the design of trustworthy, explainable AI systems for high-stakes retail and financial decision-making. I have published peer-reviewed work in IEEE conferences and international journals on these topics.
Professional Recognition
My contributions to engineering, research, and the global technology community have been recognized through elite memberships, fellowship designations, and invitations to judge prestigious international awards and academic showcases.
